2010 Titans Season Comes To An End

The 2010 Season was certainly a memorable one. Although the wins and loses were not where the players and coaches wanted them to be, there were some bright spots. Senior leadership was alive and well as were some surprising superstars. Santi Lopez and Anthony Hernandez pitched the way to a big win against King early on. Junior Ty Lawson played huge all year long leading the Titans in most offensive categories. Junior Pitcher Tyrone Miller struggled to get a win, right up until his best game of the year, against district powerhouse Brandon. And who could forget the Epic game at Disney's Wide World of Sports vs. Lake Brantley. Unbelievable game with unreal plays in a 9 inning marathon. Not all the plays went the Titans way in 2010, but they played hard and had fun. Head Coach Jason Gordon along with all his coaching staff want to thank all of the players for giving us your best each and every day. The Titans baseball program has moved forward in a big way in 2010. And the future as we see it looks very bright indeed. So for the last time for the 2010 season...GO TITANS!!!

Titans Lose Epic Game @ Disney

The Tampa Bay Tech Titans lost a great game to Lake Brantley 7-6 in 9 innings Friday after a valiant effort by all players involved. A bottom of the 7th play by short stop Ty Lawson, will live in high school baseball lore, led to extras. The Lake Brantley Patriots got an infield single to win it in 9. A great game and a great time was had by all.

Tech Out Lasts Eastbay at Saladino

The Titans finally got on the board at the Saladino tournament and beat Eastbay 7-4 Tuesday morning. Tech got great pitching from Tyrone Miller, Anthony Hernandez, and Santi Lopez did enough to get the job done. The win concluded a tough week for the Titans who suffered tough losses to the reigning state champs Alonso and the very hot Freedom high school. The win is a nice building block for the Titans who face off in Orlando against Lake Brantley at Disney's Wide World of Sports next week.
