Friday Night Lights

Tonight's game @ Wharton High School should be a good one if not and incredibly cold one. Come out and support the Titans as they try to win their 3rd game of the year. Go Titans!!!

Titans Lose a Pitchers Duel

Tampa Bay Tech couldn't get the big hit Tuesday night as they fell to Riverview 3-1. Patrique Peters pitched a great game, but it was for not as the Titans move to 2-2 for the season. A bases loaded RBI bunt by CJ Jackson was the only run a Titans could muster after having several chances throughout the game. The Titans next game is Friday at Wharton.

Titans Get Thrilling 11 Inning Win vs. King

Tampa Bay Tech won their second dramatic game of the season after beating King 7-2 in 11 innings Saturday. Titans pitching gave up only 2 runs on 4 hits against a good Lions lineup, with great efforts from starter Santi Lopez, followed by Pat Peters and Anthony Hernandez. Things got testy between the two clubs after the game was tied in the bottom of the 7th by King, but as things calmed down, Titans hitters woke up and put the game out of reach with great base running by Steven Pinol and CJ Jackson. Titans move to 2-1 entering their 2nd week of games. Go Titans. Great Win!!!

Early Mistakes Plague Titans

The Tampa Bay Tech Titans lost game 2 Friday night 7-3 to Armwood in a well played game by both teams. First inning mistakes plagued the Titans as they were unable to overcome the early hole they were in. Starter Tyrone Miller pitched well enough to win, but the Titans couldn't secure the late inning heroics. DH Buster Hickman launched a 7th inning HR to get the game moving but it was for not as the Titans couldn't come back on last year's state finalists. Tech look to get back on the winning track tomorrow as they play at King at 1 pm.

Titans Win Game 1 With A Walk Off

It took awhile for the clutch hits to come, but they did in fact show up in time for the Titans to win game 1 of the 2010 regular season over Lennard High School. Tech had no trouble getting runners on base, but they couldn't score most of them as the game went into the late innings down with the Titans down 6-2. In the bottom of the 6th, the runs came with a huge clutch triple by SS Ty Lawson. With the game tied heading into the bottom of the 7th, who else but Lawson to deliver the walk off double scoring catcher DJ Morales husting from 1st base giving the Titans the 7-6 victory. Great game Titans!!!

Titans Lose a Pitchers Duel 2-1 vs. Strawberry Crest

Simply an incredible game was for not as the Titans lost the preseason opener Wendesday night 2-1. Santiago Lopez hit a game tying no-hit ruing MOONSHOT in the top of the 7th to tie the game. Great pitching by starter Tyrone Miller followed by Kishon Kumar and Owen Sarwatka was foiled by a questionable call to allow the winning run to score in the bottom of the 9th.

Here r some pics from the game.

Congrats to Greg "Buster" Hickman

A huge congrats goes out to Titans catcher Buster Hickman for signing his letter of intent to play football at Florida International University! Buster was widely recruited around the country as one of the fiercest linebackers in the state of Florida. Even though Buster will be playing football next year, look for him to be making a huge impact on the baseball field as well for the Titans. Congrats Buster!!!
